Hey Y'all!
Welcome to River Road Cattle Company! We are the Farrish family, made up of Justin, Rebecca, Austin, and Debra Farrish. Being born and raised in the Chesterfield area, we have always been interested in agriculture. Our passion led us to establish River Road Cattle Company, a family-owned and operated cattle farm.
Our motto, 'raising beef, raising expectations', reflects our commitment to producing high-quality beef that we are proud to serve to our family and community. Our first agriculture endeavor started with the opening of River Road Riding Club, a 42-stall horse boarding stable, across the street from where our cattle farm is now. While the Farrish ladies love their horses, Justin has always been fond of and interested in cattle. Originally the land that the cattle are on now was used for hay production for the horses, but we decided that our time and efforts were best spent elsewhere.
After many months of researching cattle, Justin, the founder of River Road Cattle Company, was drawn to Wagyu cattle after speaking with a friend about his current cattle operations. After trying a wagyu cross, Justin knew he had to start raising this incredible breed.
At River Road Cattle Company, we are committed to the health and well-being of our cattle and believe it leads to consistently high-quality beef that our customers can't get enough of.
Our first wagyu heifers (better known around here as- Daisy Mae, Susannah, Buttercup, and Pearl) arrived in June of 2020, three months after our son Austin was born. They were thin from traveling halfway across the country to us but quickly fattened up and seemed happy to call RRCC home.
We are passionate about agriculture and take great pride in providing high-quality, ethically raised beef to our customers. Our animals live a relaxing life, as we believe that a stress-free environment is crucial to producing beef that is both delicious and nutritious. Our full-blood registered Wagyu herd is one of the best in the country, and our Angus recipient herd is equally impressive. Our commitment to quality extends to every aspect of our operation, and we are confident that you will love our beef.
